100 Years of Legacy — A VIP Evening at Novikov Beverly Hills
By Victorioso Mezcal
On August 19, Victorioso Mezcal marks a century of Sernas family craft with an intimate VIP evening at Novikov Beverly Hills — and a special Telemundo interview that brings the story to millions.
One hundred years is a long time to do anything. To distill mezcal by hand, in the same mountains, using the same fire — for one hundred years — is something else entirely.
On August 19th at 7 PM, Victorioso Mezcal celebrates that century at Novikov Beverly Hills, 257 N Canon Drive, with an intimate private evening for invited guests. Dress code: white. And on the evening, a special interview with Telemundo will bring the Sernas family story to an audience of millions.
What One Hundred Years Means
The number is not a marketing invention. The Sernas family has been making mezcal in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca — the mezcal capital of the world — for a century. Three generations of maestros have stood over the same earthen roasting pits, tended the same copper stills, and harvested agave from the same volcanic hillsides that Juan Sernas walked as a young man.
Most spirits brands measure their heritage in decades. Very few can honestly count their years in triple digits. For the Sernas family, 100 is not a milestone — it is simply the present chapter of a story that has been unfolding since 1926.
Every bottle of Victorioso Mezcal carries that inheritance. The Espadín, with its earthen smoke and stone-fruit warmth. The Tobalá, wild-harvested from high-altitude cliffs, a Platinum Medal winner and a mezcal that cannot be rushed or scaled. The Ensamble, four wild agaves unified in a single run that takes thirty years of patience to produce. Each expression is the result of decisions made not once but hundreds of times, refined across generations until there is nothing left to remove.
Telemundo and the Meaning of This Moment
For the Sernas family, the Telemundo interview is more than media coverage. It is recognition — the kind that comes when a story finally reaches the audience it was always meant to find.
Telemundo's reach into Latino households across the United States is unmatched. The families who will watch this interview are the same families who understand, in their bones, what it means to hold something made by hand across generations. They know the patience of the agave. They know the smoke of the pit. They know the weight of continuing what your grandfather started.
This is the legacy Victorioso has been building, quietly and without compromise, for one hundred years. On August 19th, it steps into the light.
Why Beverly Hills
There is a logic to celebrating this milestone at Novikov Beverly Hills. The room is one of the most discerning in California — a clientele shaped by decades of exposure to the world's finest wines, spirits, and cuisines. To bring three generations of Oaxacan craft into that room and earn its genuine attention is its own validation.
We did exactly that at our first Novikov evening in June. The questions guests asked — about Santiago Matatlán, about the harvest, about the agave's years in the ground — were the questions of people who had encountered something that demanded to be understood. Beverly Hills is not a market. It is a signal. And the signal it sent in June was unmistakable.
August 19th deepens that conversation.
The Evening
The event is private, by invitation and confirmation only. Dress code is white.
For guests already holding an invitation, the evening begins at 7 PM at Novikov Beverly Hills. For those who have not yet confirmed, capacity is limited.
This is a once-in-a-century evening — literally. The Sernas family has spent one hundred years earning this night. We intend to honor it accordingly.
